Tamed Maneby EquiessenceComment: I'm no expert, but I think you've done well with the exposure on the mane, giving it an ethereal feel especially at the ends and the whispy loose hairs alon the neck. |

Cichlidsby RodorComment: Where are the twists or curves? Word I would not use to describe this photo.
Nice lighting though, would be interested to know how you've achieved this result. |

just another statisticby cutoutComment: I'm struggling to make out what this is and even as an abstract it's not very interesting to look at I'm afraid. |

in the magic gardenby cutoutComment: This is probably the most interesting entry to look at in the competition. Don't get me wrong, some of the other entries are beautiful and have more of a 'wow' [or a 'phwoar'] to them, but this certainly provokes a different reaction - as good abstracts do. I like it for that reason as well as the textures and colours.
If i could have voted in this challenge it would have scored highly, probably a 9 or 10. |

Oneonta Gorgeby ASTONishingComment: Good, deep DOF with good foreground detail.
Unfortunately, I think the harsh overexposure at the top is somewhat distracting from the distant detail of the fallen trees and the arch formed by the two sides of the gorge.
For me, it's possibly a little over-saturated which makes the picture look a little lop-sided given how dark the RHS is in contrast to the LHS.
However, I do like the blues of the water as it adds a sense of eerie-ness. I'm sure if it were an advanced editing challenge, you'd have the makings of a really interesting piece of work. |
