I think this is suffering for me from a lack of context. I can see blood and possibly some kind of tool or machine, but I can't tell what is happening. what's with the light blue cloth hanging down on the left side? It just hides some of the details like that things that looks like a glove.

With all the hub-bub on the forums about water drop shots you are brave to enter into the fray. This effort looks to be a beginning effort at mastery so forgive me if I am wrong here. What I see can be improved upon is a few things. I would say to get closer. Use a macro lens and get in the water's face. I think water shooters get their camera's wet! Also, use a uniform background. You did great with the background being out of focus from choosing the appropriate DoF, however, there is some clutter on the right that shows in color and screws up the graduated grey background. You did great at stopping the action of the drops and showing off your flash control skills! (If you used flash... there sure is nice even lighting on the glass and no blown spots!)

I don't really know what to say about this. I would like to be able to read your mind to find out what the message is with this photo. I'm just a common man with low end communication skills and a too literal mind! Perhaps when I read the notations you have made I will be enlightened and gain much appreciation. Communication is a two way street though and unfortunately it is up to the one delivering the message to convey the message in such a way that his aoudience will understand it. I do grant that the audience need keep an open mind else why bother to listen??

So for now, I think this is the latest attempt by the U.S. Army at computerized cammoflage for field operations in the Jersey Farmlands.

Nice Depth of field. I like the muted tones here with the neutral colors.

I like the textures shown and the vivid color and the perspective shot. I wonder why didn't you use a horizontal crop with the diagonal perspective moving in a horizontal fashion? I suppose that is a matter of taste.

I like the lighting on this. It also shows off good textures and great use of vertical lines throughout with the horizontal lines denoting the bridge.

I think the little entrance sign at the mid right background is cool with the arrow. It would have been good to get more of it in the photo if possible. On the left edge you have an object that should have either been cropped out or ommitted by taking a step or two forward. It's too blurry and takes away from the nice sharp and crisp aspects of this photo. It doesn't do too bad as a frame if that's what you were going after with the entire foreground being OOF.

Great texture! I am assuming this is HDR, though I don't know a lot about HDR processing so I can't really comment to that. I do however like the perspective. The pillars look gigantic compared to the door!

I like the textures and the perspective is interesting here. It appears to be somewhat out of focus, under-sharpened or it suffers from being handheld at a low shutter speed.

This has a real neat tilt shift effect going for it. I am presuming it is full scale. Great color and good lighting make this an excellent image and worthy of an honorable mention!

Anyone who doesn't know Alice in Wonderland won't really get this picture and you are probably getting some DNMC's... I won't be one of them.

The left side of the photo looks slightly OOF with the red pill being a little closer to the camera and the blue pill somewhat farther away, perhaps a slightly higher DoF would bring that in focus. It is only a slight distraction. You got great color and great lighitng with shadows to boot! Overall a good presentation with a twist on the challenge topic.
