 Once again, the Fort Worth Stockyards comes through for me with something of interest. This is a couple of cars of the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, which runs between the stockyards and the nearby city of Grapevine. I had gone there hoping to get some photos of the old steam engine that pulls these cars. It is now running again, but apparently not on Saturdays. The engine that was running this day is of the same variety that hauls freight all over the country, but with an eye-catching gold trimmed maroon paint job.

I'm pleased with how this came out. The lighting inside Stockyards Station responded quite well to some modest use Topaz and clarify.

Anticipated critiques:
-Too centered
-Ceiling beams are oversaturated

Post-challenge notes:
Pretty happy with this. Just enough people disliking it to keep it away from a 6.

Great perspective and love the colors...especially for a Basic challenge that limits HDR, etc. Lighting is superb.

Beautiful colours of the coaches. On most of the photographs, this colour doesn't come out that beautiful.
All parts of the photograph are well detailed. Did you use some HDR on it? The ceiling makes me think this, but I'm not sure.
- If I'm not mistaken I see number 1808 behind 209?

I like the colours and related tones in this. I also like the varied lines, upright for the train and windows and sideways horizonal on the ceiling.

Its a long Drop. Afer better idea than some I have seen good subject as well.

I like the textures shown and the vivid color and the perspective shot. I wonder why didn't you use a horizontal crop with the diagonal perspective moving in a horizontal fashion? I suppose that is a matter of taste.
