monsterby GinaRothfelsComment: Gorgeous... the way the lighting picks out the creases on the sculpture's face is amazing. It seems full of wisdom and life. I love the black and white, and your framing. |

The only wayby sissiComment: This is SO cool, weird and surreal! I love it!!! One of my favourite photos on this site :). You did really well getting that beautiful coloured background, and making it so soft with narrow depth of field. It complements the little guy very well. |

Fall From Graceby KarenBComment: I gave this a 10. Very topical and dramatic. You were very brave, because I know there is a lot of tension and high emotion about this subject. |

Trust?by arnitComment: I gave this a 10. I didn't really need to have a strong idea of which particular sin was there. The tension in the photo is suggestive of many, many things that are fundamental to the human condition (something that all the sins embody). The only thing that I don't quite like is that it seems very staged, since the models are very photogenic, the hair is perfect, the girl's makeup is perfect... I prefer realism, because those things make the emotions in the photo less powerful. |

Aftermathby HBunchComment: Heather, I gave this a 10 during the week, but knowing that it was by you makes it so much more meaningful. It's a very powerful photo. Great work. |

It's Overby quarxComment: This photo has everything I like - gorgeous textures, colours, motion blur suggesting action, some depth of emotion or even a narrative involved, and great lighting and composition. I gave it 10 - lisae |

Seven with One Blow!by just-marriedComment: I KNOW this story. It's one of those Brothers Grimm fables. I just thought I'd say that, because I'm sure people have been missing the point all week! 8 - lisae |

OK Papa?by JEMComment: I'm not sure where this is from, but I've seen many scenes like this on TV and always felt like they make the most poignant statement about the poverty and inequality in the world... the poor fossicking through the things the wealthy discard just to get by. The depth of feeling in your photo is astonishing. 10 - lisae |

Pizza Hutby sanandanComment: WOW! This is honestly one of the best photos I've ever seen on this site! 10 - lisae Hmm... I should elaborate, it was quite late at night here when I wrote that, and I'd been drinking some scotch :). I love your use of depth of field and framing around the little girl to make her such a strong focal point. Her wide-eyed little urchin expression is so universal and intense, in the midst of what is obviously some crushing poverty. This is the kind of photo that makes me wish I could change the world. That's a huge achievement. |
