This is really cool. I love the odd sense of scale and perspective. That object is so beautiful. The only thing I don't like is the brown border. I don't really like it when people use a colour from the image for the border... it distracts me from the subject with that colour, and kind of undermines its influence in the photo.

Beautiful. I've commented on a lot of photos that they meet the subject matter, but have made little attempt at creating a work of art. This photo is a great example to all of them. Absolutely stunning. 10!

Interesting catch. You could have brought the colours up with some processing. Try manipulating the levels in photoshop or a similar program, or at least just increasing the contrast.

Here's what I got with a little bit of playing around: //lisa3d.org/images/photos/dpc/pisky2.jpg. It's grainy, but the colours are stronger.

I can't work out whether or not I like this background. It does set off the water drops nicely, but the texture is distracting. The composition of this is nice for an abstract photo - just varied enough to bring your eyes down to that large drop on the bottom right, but still with a sense of disorder. Interesting idea.
