Comment:
The odd colors and over-processed look detract from what might have otherwise been a good image.

Journey

Comment:
This image has a pinkish cast, which I find distracting. The DOF seems to restrict the focus to the first few feet of the image, leaving the rest of the image an odd, not-quite-in-focus feeling. If the focus were softer overall or the DOF were either much shallower or encompassed the entire image I'd have liked the presentation better. I think that rendering this in B&W would have emphasized the depth of the image, as the color seems to exist mainly in the periphery.

Comment:
This looks like the type of snapshot one gets if one drops their camera on the ground and the shutter happens to fire. Without any particularly interesting cloud formation or a clear focal point, this just looks like a random section of clouds. The B&W emphasizes the texture of the clouds, but I think that in this case the (presumably) blue sky would have been more interesting than the shades of gray.

Breathing Under Water

Comment:
The fact that the hand is held palm up makes this look more like this was posed against a spotted wall and less like the person is swimming for the surface (which would almost certainly involve the palms facing down).

I understand the title, but what is the person in the picture doing? Threshing the sand?

Shadows from my dreams

Comment:
I like the clean lines in this picture as well as the strong visual momentum flowing from the upper right corner to the lower left. I'm a little unclear on how this relates to the challenge, though.

living 2 lives

Comment:
This is a really interesting effect. I can make out two (possibly 3, if that's one in the bottom right) faces, which appear to belong to the same woman, but can't determine anything other than that. As a semi-abstract image, this is good. The title implies that you may have intended a somewhat deeper meaning; if this is the case, an exposure which was a little clearer in presenting recognizable features may have helped to better convey your intent.

Although this picture is rich with mood, it would be well on it's way to nightmarish if there was a more well-defined victim whose terror-stricken face was clearly visible.

When I close my eyes I am a WARRIOR.....

Comment:
Although the muted colors of the background lend this picture a restful feeling, I think that the silhouette would have been stronger against the more war-like backdrop which you'd get by dramatically increasing the saturation and setting the sky on fire.

Comment:
Since this is the "Dreams" challenge, the person sleeping seems kind of unnecessary. The props suggest what the content of your dreams may be, but I think that even in isolation any of them might have been used to create a much stronger, more visceral feeling for what law enforcement entails than the caricature that the unembellished accessories give me. Letting your audience's imaginations fill in the juicy details is a good thing, but expecting them to also write the screenplay for you is expecting a bit too much.
