Generations Pastby msdoubletroubleComment: There is no clear point of focus in this image. The focus seems sharpest on the bright white headstone, but since it's occluded by the larger items in the foreground it's probably not the intended subject. A much narrower DOF and composition which clearly indicated the intended subject would have helped this image dramatically. |

Exposing Their Loveby TDCollinsComment: As presented here, this image seems to have crossed the border between high-key and overexposed. Since there is still a fair amount of shadow detail, I suspect that you could bring back a lot of the tonal range by setting your white/black points and reducing the contrast. The harsh shadow cast by the guy's profile suggests that this scene was primarily lit by a single bright light just above the camera. If you intended this photo to look high-key, using a reflector to soften the edges of that shadow would have made this look more professional. |

Gota go peeby TLL061Comment: The DOF seems to have been centered on the flora in the background. Because the boy is not uniformly blurry, some or all of the soft focus may have been due to motion blur. If this is the case, a faster shutter speed would have helped.

Don't Make Me Fly Over Thereby Keith ManiacComment: I love the perspective here. I think that the DOF is a bit too shallow; the bird's face seems to have rather soft focus. A bit more light on the bird's face would have improved the shot as well. Still, this is a solid entry, and one of my highest rated images of the challenge. |

What a hoot - I can't wait to fly!by TDCollinsComment: What kind of bird is this? It looks more like a Muppet than any bird I'm familiar with. The DOF is a little shallow, as his beak is the only thing in sharp focus. |

Look At Meby LKMoteComment: I would have liked to see this cropped with more negative space to either side of the rooster; as it is it seems rather cramped. |

Black on Blueby DustDevilComment: I like the composition, but something about this image looks fake. Too much neatimage, perhaps? I would have preferred a slightly sharper focus. |
