Early Evening, Lake Victoriaby jomariComment: this is incredible!!! i totally ove it. the thumbnail looks like and impressionist painting. i actually like that you've pushed it his far, it becomes hyperreal, no longer a photograph. awesome work |

_MG_5203by sulamkComment: pretty little fella, and a nice unusual angle for a butterfly shot. love the detail in the eyes and feelers, he looks a little grumpy at having his pic taken! As if to say, "okay go on then, is this going to take long?" |

_MG_5321by sulamkComment: hello mumsicles. Cool shot. took me awhile to figure out if the leaf was in the air or in the water, interesting effect. love dragonflies! quite unusual for them to sit with the wings folded back pin straight, well noticed. |

ZEBRAby nivlekComment: this is wonderful. love the details and textures, especially the hairy chin! Beautiful contrasts and you've done well to knock back the background to have minimum distraction. |

A Little Too Highby caseyfaceComment: Interesting and unusual angle and POV. Also like the processing, a bit different to the usual B&W |

PaW2010 Week 14.jpgby TerComment: Beautiful sky and great composition! I have experienced a similar problem, but for me the problem occurs when I 'save for web' - suddenly all the richness is sucked out. The only way I have been able to get around this is to bang on a hue/saturation layer and oversaturate the image before saving for web, so that when it 'save for web' reduces it, it is back to the correct visual level. I have found this has solved my problem, as I think that is where it all goes wrong, rather than on the site perhaps? Give it a go? |
