Dubai Skylines by mqnaufalComment: What detail there is is crisp and sharp, but there isn't enough of it to make a difference - it's just a picture of Dubai. A closer look at the skyline or even picking one aspect of the skyline and focusing on that would have been better. |

Earthboundby CuttoothComment: As I've said before, I'm not a big fan of the whole flowing water/long exposure genre of photography. There is something to be said for the technique, but it is often over done - like sunsets and sunrises it becomes common and the effect loses its punch. In this case, there is some detail so that saves it - a little. A little less time and more detail would have made this a first class image. |

baby it's cold outside by jmritzComment: I honestly don't know what to say about this. To me, its just an amorphous mass or blob of...well, I don't know. It's a five for participation. |

Retired!by ZeusComment: I assume that this was taken with ambient light in a dark room which is quite remarkable given that there is a lot of detail and very little shadow. Very competent capture. Well done. |

2400 Secondsby PascalComment: Wow - that is a great star shot for 40 minutes. I like the way the foreground is showing some detail as it gives the image some context. A very competent capture - well done. |

Fremont Bridgeby franktheyankComment: I really like images where the hot spots (in this case the lights) are right on the edge of being over done. All the lighting just enhance what is already a great image. Well done. |

Teaching Zack to Driveby brucedgatesComment: I've often railed against the effect titles have on images, but this just begs for a different title - something about time warps or wormholes - that kind of thing. Very interesting image - maybe a little closer look at the dashboard and driver/passenger might have helped a little more. |

Clouds over Orionby chanserComment: You can tell this was a thirty second image because the stars are a little elongated. But, and this is opinion, a longer exposure with a tighter aperture and more star trails would have made this a much better image. |

Snow Grooming Lights DPby BenstedComment: The author missed a great opportunity here to grab a great image by keeping the shutter open longer and getting more foreground. It would have had an orange cast to it what would have been really striking. Still, it's an interesting image. |

The last day of 2012by HalldorIngiComment: I would really like to rate this high, but unfortunately all the interesting stuff is in the back ground. The cloud formation is nice, but there just isn't any real WOW factor to this image. |
