Did Hannah see bees? Hannah did.by NordlysComment: The negative space enhances the devious simplicity and transitional quality of the components of this image. It is truly amazing the amount of detail and depth in this image - the conversion is perfect, nothing is over done or overly strong. An excellent artistic representation of a orchid. |

Mother of the Sithby skewsmeComment: As an advocate of the Aesthetic in photographic imagery, I feel that the qualities of the designated sexual signifier details the devious simplicity of this image. Elegance is not always complex in nature and this image proves it. A very worthy entry into the challenge - I'd like to see this a Top Five. Well done. |

Electric Kiltby pixelpigComment: The reductive quality of the spatial relationships is very evident in this image - an almost fractal like quality - might almost say Escher in context. The conversion is terrific - nothing over done, whites right on the edge - beautiful image. Well done. |

Monopolyby PennyStreetComment: Spatial forms frozen in time is about the only way to describe this - very clever use of standard imagery to make something completely new. Well done. |

Skylightby GinaRothfelsComment: Wonderfully rich earth tones, beautiful sky, a plethora of shapes and sizes - a top Ten image for sure if not a top Five. Richly detailed, but not overdone in any sense of the word. Well done. |

Ice Island by giantmikeComment: Rather simplistic and overly tall image. The sky doesn't go this image any favors as it is. An improvement might be to crop a 1/3rd off the bottom to give it some pop and detail. Removing the bottom 1/3rd makes it a much better image in my opinion. |

Mountains in the Skyby MargaretNetComment: The amazing thing about this image is the incredible depth - it's almost like 3D in someways - very difficult to achieve in a black and white conversion. This is a lesson in composition and conversion that one doesn't see often. Beautifully detailed, the blacks, grays and whites are perfect - beautiful imagery. Personally, I'd call this the winner - but it's not up to me. Well done. |

Definitiveby herfotomanComment: Very clever take on the challenge - different and a little outside the box. |
