There is something about babies that just demonstrate pure emotion. Obviously baby is amused and that's a good thing.

I love conceptual art that makes you do a double take just because it is so different. I like this a lot, then I'm more into abstracts and portraits than most. Nice. If I were in control of the voting, this would be a winner. As it is, it probably won't garner a lot of high marks.

I think this is a great image it just doesn't have a lot of "pop" if you will - something is missing to make it truly memorable. Still a good image - nicely captured.

Accidental maybe, but the reflection in the glasses as he peers through the blinds just makes this a brilliant portrait - almost candid in it's execution. Very nicely done and a Top Five for sure.

".....The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is
revealed by the painter, it is rather the painter who, on the colored
canvas, reveals himself’". Well, I think we got the general idea here - apparently the artist believes that the self is disorganized and out of focus. Ok, I'll buy into that. Well done.

This looks a lot, and I do mean a lot, like a early 40's black and white movie poster. Just perfect - lighting, conversion, everything is just perfect. A worthy contender for a Top Five finish.

Love the pose but the overwhelming neutral colors don't do the boy's complexion any favors - there appears to be an unnatural amount of grain which is probably due to a slight over tweaking of the image.

I readjusted the color temp on my monitor because I thought something had gone wrong with the video card. I like it - a very natural pose, interesting subject but the lack of real contrast between the dress and the face washes it out. What I'm trying to say (badly) is that the dress and skin are very similar in terms of color scale and everything just blends together. It would have made a really good image if the dress had been black or a dark blue.

I like this but there isn't a lot of definition between the skin tones and the wall color. There is also a very slight green tint around the window which is probably the result of the green window pane. Overall a good effort - just needed a little more "thoguht" to pull off.

I was wondering if somebody was going to do a shadow portrait. A ten just because.
