The fogby TammsterComment: There's something a bit strange about this shot. The detail in the foreground object (duck?) and the background pier don't match up. It just doesn't feel like a fog effect to me, feels more like you've dodged the background to fade it out.
I'm not saying that's what you did, I'm just saying that's what the shot feels like to me. |

The old wreck in the black sandby GlanniComment: Nice scenic shot, but for me there just isn't enough contrast in the foreground details. When I first opened it I instantly wanted to see more details in the wreck.
It's not that it's too dark, as I think you've got the exposure just right, I think it's that there's not enough contrast in the details. |

Single Beautyby elTOROComment: Nice summer feel to this, but the shot is let down by the object (tree?) running down the left hand side. It has the double effect of distracting from the main subject, and making the shot appear askew. |

Mistaya Riverby dragonladyComment: When I see shots like this I often wonder how long you had to walk to get to it. This one feels pretty isolated though for all I know you could be standing at the edge of the car park :)
I like this, I like the fact that you have nice details running all the way through it, from the rocks in the foreground right through to the mountain in the background. The stream for me is a touch overdone, I usually prefer water to look like water rather than flowing smoke. |

Olive Treeby ronaldfwComment: This is nice with the exception of the large black cloud to the upper left, which completely dominates the picture and makes the tree more of a secondary element. I think if you had just cropped this a bit more off the top it would have improved it for me. |

The Fiddlerby ChikaZAWaComment: It's taken me a while to figure out exactly what I'm looking at here. I think the problem is that there's too many distracting details, the bright lines coming from the branches etc.
The shallow DOF doesn't seem to work entirely as well as it leaves out what could be interesting details as well.
I think overall, composition has probably let you down here. This might have come out a lot better taken from a different angle to get more of the interesting details and less of the annoying stuff. |

Central Red Devilsby Dirt_DiverComment: Very good sports portrait. Great lighting here and you've controlled it will with the strong colours. |

Old Black Joeby neophyteComment: Interesting details, and because they're interesting it does make me want to see more of the shot. I can't say for sure if that's a good or bad thing, I imagine this shot would work very well as a series with other details and ultimately the whole bike. |

Cityscapeby justineComment: This looks like one of those artists renderings that you see when a new business park is being developed! I'm guessing the effect came from topaz. |
