I always find half the beauty in these shots the details in the feathers etc, but the B&W conversion you've done seems to have lost a lot of that.

This version is quite interesting, especially the strong head area against a largely black background, but I'm not sure if it makes up for the loss of the other attributes.

It's a fun capture, well timed, not sure how much converting to B&W has done for it though.

I thought it was an odd shot, then I saw the title and it just got odder!

I've heard these things are great for practicing portraits, though your title makes me wonder what else it's been used for!

I'm afraid for me this scene is just a chair and lots of objects that don't hold a whole lot of interest.

This is likely because I have no attachment to the objects in the scene, I'm sure this shot would have a lot more interest and relevance to those who know "Grandma".

Interesting run down structure, you should revisit this place for the graffiti challenge.

I like the photo and the way you've taken it, but I don't think you've quite brought the details out enough. I think if you made the whole scene grimmer and darker this would be great.

This is interesting, I sense there's something going on here. It feels like the man is hiding from something or waiting for something bad to happen. The angle and the blur add to that sense of anticipation and leave me wondering what's happening and feeling apprehensive for the man!

Firstly let me say, I'm not a huge fan of these sorts of shots as I always think they are vastly over done, but this is one of the more interesting ones so far, due to the texture of the rocks. It almost seems like they are glowing or made of some glass like material.

The bird is almost lost in the background colours, though I'm guessing that's the idea of the colour of the feathers :)

Nice shot, and I think you've captured it nicely in its environment. It's just a shame the head area is a little dark, would be good to see some more details there.

This looks like an interesting scene, and I'm wondering what exactly you took this with to get this effect, or whether it was just editing.

I'm not sure whether or not I like the framing with the pier running off to the left. It sort of feels like you couldn't make up your mind whether to have it running completely off to the left or in centre so just chose middle ground.

The foreground is really bright here, I'm wondering if you lit it this way intentionally or if it was just a result of background light in the long exposure.

I think it works well for the tree, but not so much the yellow grass which just dominates the shot despite only being a small section along the bottom.
