This is a very funny shot and like the others I love the detail of the badge. Something that strikes me though that no one else seems to have mentioned is that the character seems to be happy, I can't place why but when I look at the big white square head I see a happy expression!

After having looked at this for a bit I am now picturing my office with everyone looking like this, staring at their screens or walking about the place. Imagine being the one that has to give a speech to them all (my imagination running away again).

This is a great study in contrast, and for me very well suited to the challenge. It's one of those shots that's probably a bit too clever for the voters and I think you may have suffered from some people not seeing it as a "traditional triptych".

I don't agree with the others on the "centre you" being overexposed, what I do think though is that because of the high exposure that the out of focus arms take away slightly from the shot.

The concept itself is very good, I like the idea of a spectrum of emotions. The positioning of them reminds me of the angel / devil on my shoulders thing and makes the image suggest that the high and low emotions are somewhat like those, each tempting you towards them in their own way.

This is just stunning, it's one of those shots that I see and fail to understand how it scored below 6 never mind below 5!

Glancing through the other comments I agree that it's almost in the style of an impressionist painting, but still retaining all its photographic detail. I like the pinks and orange that you have here, if you hadn't told me otherwise I would have believed the scene was actually those colours originally!

It certainly is one of those that belongs on a wall, if it was mine that's exactly what I would do with it!

Oh and BTW, I'm Scottish, not Aussie (I only live here), so I'm used to my teams losing at pretty much everything :)

How could I pass up this one, once again an excellent example of lighting.

There are two things about this that take it from being a good shot to a great one. The first is the apparent narrow beam of lights you have used to isolate the subject (I'm not sure if that's what's actually happening here but it looks that way) and the second, for me anyway, is the fact that's it's an old looking uninteresting chair that you have used, which for some reason just seems to give the shot that much more appeal.

Food photography is something I'm not particularly good at (probably as a result of me not being particularly good at artificial lighting) so whenever I see it well done I marvel, and this definitely fits the bill!

Obviously the first thing that strikes me is the nice lighting you have here, it's soft enough to make the shot appealing but there are still some little shadows like the one under the sauce bowl and around the edge of the plate which really add to the composition of the shot.

The only thing about the shot that I'm not 100% sure about is the colour of the noodles, it seems as though it may be a tiny bit off, or perhaps I'm just not cooking mine right :)

I was just scrolling through all your challenge entries to pick a couple out to comment on and stopped the second I saw this.

I've walked down this very path a number of times looking for interesting things to photograph (I live literally 5 minutes walk from here on George St) and I have never come up with anything nearly as striking as this!

The lights are obviously the first thing that catch my attention being the brightest area of the shot, but it's the trees that really make it. I'm guessing you knew that judging by your title but I really felt I had to state it again!

I particularly like that you have made what would usually be the main feature (the lights and path) as almost a footnote here!

Great colours, love the strong sodium yellow against the green / blue of the background. The scene itself lacks interest slightly, but I think the colours make up for it in being so vibrant.

This is great, and obviously one of those shots that's too artistic for the DPC crowd.

The sharpness of the hair coming out from the hat, in contrast with the high key skin works brilliantly.

I really like this, thought it doesn't necessarily say warmth to me, I see it more as a very cold clear day, probably because the light looks very much like the light in Scotland on a clear winters morning!

Great colours, normally I would say overdone, but I think here it works. Obviously the cyclist makes the shot, but that was your intention so kinda stating the obvious :)
