This is a night straight forward shot with good composition. It's a bit odd in that it has a general warm feeling overall yet there is snow lying on the ground. I think it's probably because of the deep blue sky and the warm light on the windmill. I usually associate cold temperatures with a much paler blue sky.

Despite that, which is just me being odd most likely, I really like this, it has a nice peaceful feel about it. I think it might have been better without the branches sticking in from the left, but not really much you could do to avoid that I'm guessing. 8.

This is a very nice shot, though the colours are a little strange. There appears to be a bit of an odd tint to the sky, especially to the lower left, but in general all over. There also seems to be just a tiny bit of motion blur going on, might want to try and up the shutter speed next time.

This is a pretty nice shot, but there are a few things about it which are bothering me.

First is the angle you have taken it from, though I realise that it's probably built on a hill so I don't know how much you could have done about that.

Second is the sky, it's pure white, a dramatic cloud cover would have worked better, though again, that's probably not completely your fault, but most likely the wonderful depressing British weather.

Lastly, and this is the only one that is strictly your fault, is the top of the lamp post sticking into the shot at the lower right is annoying, you could probably have got away with cloning that out under the advanced editing rules.

You only just managed to squeeze this one in then, what was the completion date? :)

This is a good shot with nice colours. I'm not sure why you didn't take it from the centre of the isle though, as that usually makes for a better composition in this sort of shot due to the symmetry.

I imagine this will probably do quite well, it has a very DPC'ish feel about it.

This is a very nice shot, and I imagine it's going to do pretty well and quite possibly ribbon.

The whole thing has quite a glassy, frozen look about it, which is clever because there isn't actually any ice in the shot. I think you've timed this exposure well, it's not over the top smooth, but long enough to make it really interesting.

I like the contrast of the shiny metallic fence and the old building behind it. I'm not usually a fan of fisheye shots, but I think it really works here as well.

The textures in the door and the stone despite being behind the fence for the large part are still clear and sharp. Not sure if you did some PP to get those colours the way they are but if you did you made a good job of it.

Great shot, after having gone through about a quarter of the entries, this is my favourite so far!

This is a nice picture, it has a good rustic old fashioned look. I'm guessing you added the grain here to give it an aged look, which I like, but you might suffer from it with some other voters.

My only minor complaint is what I'm thinking is a cloth in the background of the photo (to the right) is a bit annoying, I think you should have possibly removed it for this shot.

I'm not sure about the subject, I'm sure it meets challenge but I don't know if it's the best choice. I can see some interesting looking detail in the background which might have made a better shot.

Also, I'm guessing you're using on camera flash here which has caused a slightly unnatural colour in the foreground area and separated it from the background.

I also don't think you have made the best use of the location. I'm guessing this is some sort of old ruin, which are always really interesting pieces of architecture, but your choice of focus probably hasn't emphasised that.

This is a very interesting old building. I think the weather hasn't helped you a whole lot here, the bland grey sky and the white snow have kind of made this image a little dull looking, I think it would be a lot better against either dramatic clouds or a strong blue, but what can you do, the elements don't always play along!

It looks like you are simply documenting the rocks here as if to be archived somewhere. From that point of view you've done a fairly good job. You can see some good and interesting detail there, but the back half of the larger rock is starting to go out of focus, I think for this sort of shot you should have used a much longer DOF.
