The fans with it's diagonal placement help to frame the face and puts focus on the eyes. The desaturated image except for the beautiful blue hue in the eyes really makes this interesting. The depth of field and focus on the eyes also helps. The only change I would make here is to use a fan without the flower pattern. it kinds of takes a little away from the eyes and a tiny bit distracting. "9"

Simple subject. Very good lighting gives a beautiful shadow to the indention of the 5 and really makes it pop out of the shot. Great texture captured on the weight. I like that you were decided to include a portion of the roundness of the weight. I think this shot would've done very well in the texture challenge. "10"

I like how you get the feeling of the fibers in the wooden weaved background. Subtle shadows on the fibers really bring them out. The diagonal shapes helps to bring focus on the jewelry by pointing to them. The carved subject gives a feeling of polished smoothness. Very nice curved shape.
looks like you may have used a white and yellowish lighting. Seems to have a yellowish hue on the subject and takes away from the interest. Maybe retaking with a different lighting angle would give a better effect. "9"

Beautiful lighting was used to bring out the textures of the yellow petals. You can almost feel the soft textures of the petals themselves. I like how the stem has a texture that is so different from the petals. Almost a hairy, furry feeling to them. "10"

Beautiful closeup of the nut. Definitely get the feeling of texture that you were able to capture in this composition. The rust, dust, spider web can almost be felt by reaching out. The dark black background really helps to bring out the abstract shapes that you captured.
Only thing to add is maybe cropping out the bright highlight under the bolt and nut. "10"

Interesting subject to photograph. The koosh ball almost looks like a nice blooming flower. Lighting that isn't as harsh would bring out more of the plastic feeling of the material that the subject is made of.
Currently it looks like a light is shining right at the subject and takes away from the vibrant colors that should be presented. The blacks in the center of the koosh really helps to make the koosh seem to push out of the shot. Changing the lighting position would add even more. "8"

The contrast of the lights and dark of the shadows and highlights really bring out the texture of the tree trunk. You eyes follow the trunk from the right hand side where the subject is bright toward the darker shaded side of the tree. The angle you chose gives the sense of the roundness of the subject. "9"

The highlights and the shadows really gives helps to show the great curves that are on the subject. The textures of the subject really comes through. The well lit top of the subject makes your eyes look at the top and work your way down. "9"

The diagonal frame that the towel forms really bring your eyes toward the eyes of the baby. The tonal range that you were able to capture makes this image very pleasant to look at. The great expressions on the face just finishes this composition perfectly. Love the slight hightlight in the eye. "10"

The circular composition of the tree trunk makes your eyes follow the rings toward the center of the subject. The cropping you chose makes this shot very interesting. Lighting really makes this shot pop especially with the great shadows that fall on the rings themselves. "10"
