Betrayed by the Clapperby posthumousComment: Had you taken a photo of the bird, and the bird only, with the available light, I think you would've finished among top 40 or something. Now it's more funny than dramatic, but something tells me you went for that approach :p |

Silent Observerby snafflesComment: Your shadows are great, and your b&w conversion is good. But there's something missing. It could be that it's not propperly focused. |

Ghost Shadowsby robsComment: First I thought this was the guy incharge of lighting in a theater, but it would appear they are tourists checking out a waterfall. So the truth is very disapointing, and the binocular adds to that impression. BUT, that said, it's damned dramatic, and your coloring is sort of.... "hellish". 6 from me. |

Summer Breezeby npaselComment: A slower shutterspeed and movement on the "blades" would've improved this photo quite alot I think. Then you would've "seen" the summer breeze! It's not that exciting as it is now. Nice use of grain though! |

Fieldby MelethiaComment: I don't think grain adds anything special to this photo. Had you removed I doubt I would've seen any difference. It's hardy visible. Nice photo though |

Stardustby zaroziniaComment: There's grain all right, but I think the lighting in her face is to strong to give an overall grainy feeling. Lighting is perfect for other types of pictures, but the grain doesn't add anything special or dominate this photo (which is a very good one, if I may add!). |

Waitingby BarbBComment: It's an extremely beautifull photo, but I don't think grain adds that much to this photo. You see some in the background and on the mane, but the rest sort of blends in with the colors of the horse. But still, the photo itselft is extremely beautifull. I just wish there had been done more. |

Mack... by NikonJebComment: First of all let me say that this is a very good photo! Angle, composition and the "dull" colors are all great! And I find your use of grain intereseting as well. At first, I did notice that there were some grain there, but not really visible (except from the dark areas), but that's some of the beauty I find in this photo. Grain really adds something special to this photo, and maybe it would've been hard to see the "grain "had this been another challenge. But had you removed all the grain, I guess this would be a completely different photo. Great balance is what I'm trying to say at 06:30am! |
