oh, spare meby mariucaComment: This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)
Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.
This is one of my 8s - I like it. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. Great capture of the bleakness of the snow - before it is pretty.
2. The dainty window display almost mocking the passers-by.
3. The weirdness of the police trestles.
4. The blurry person going about their business.
Very effective. |

This is one of my 9s - I like it a lot. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. I like unusual portraits and there is all sorts of interest here - the moody coloration, the slight blur, the faraway expression.
2. I really like the darkness of the bottom left quadrant - it offers a counterpoint to the rest of the image.
3. I enjoy the grain/noise and how you've achieved an almost-texture-overlay effect.
Overall, this has a slight other-wordlyness that I really enjoy. |

1. So little colour, but so much of it! A magic trick to get the vibrancy of that red and bit of yellow to permeate through the entire image.
2. This bright light would scare some photographers off but here you've worked with it to tremendous effect.
3. We get the child and the shadow - excellent interplay.
4. The texture of the wall - it adds a lot. A truly blank space would have been much less interesting.
Great shot, masterfully processed. |

This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. Clearly an odriew. I like that the style is so apparent - I'm a locked-in fan - I was always going to love this.
2. I really like this low contrast look you get. I'm never brave enough to emulate it. I wish I was.
3. The colour chosen for your tones is perfect - simultaneously vintage and modern.
4. Great model, wonderful dynamic pose - offering flying hair to contrast with the brightest part of the sky.
Overall though, it's about the mood you've managed to create - sort of joy before the rain. I can feel the day. That's a special quality. |

Freedom's Longingby jagarComment: I'm enjoying the slight mania communicated in this image John.
Compositionally - stunning.
Physique - just stop it. You're making the rest of us look bad. Go and have a burger, some fries (lots) and a few sherry trifles! |
