Never voted/commented on this challenge, but I did peak through the thumbnails. This image appealed to me considerably. Would've scored it highly had I voted.
Lovely shot to finish off with Neat! |

Paul said it: "Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio". Couldn't agree more. Miss you around here! |

Fab. Love the spots -- the burst of color of the boy's shorts... |

Interesting photo, I like the concept, would have liked this more if the boys entire shadow was showing and was on the wall, also think if the boy were looking into the frame instead of up and out this would have been better for me. Good job in keeping the detail on his shirt and the wall. |

This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)
Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.
This is one of my 9s - I like it a lot. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. So little colour, but so much of it! A magic trick to get the vibrancy of that red and bit of yellow to permeate through the entire image.
2. This bright light would scare some photographers off but here you've worked with it to tremendous effect.
3. We get the child and the shadow - excellent interplay.
4. The texture of the wall - it adds a lot. A truly blank space would have been much less interesting.
Great shot, masterfully processed. |
