A moment of beauty you stumble uponby NeatComment: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: An amalgam of sharpness and movement blur - like a linear tomogram... Panning from a moving vehicle? Whatever the technique, it is most effective. I really like your toning choices too with its wonderful greenish hue.
Critical stuff: Nothing
Overall: A very effective image - technique used to deliberate artistic intent. Well played. |

Positives: I like the choices you've made here, focussing on the stands rather than the musician - it works though; you've made the scene, the context and to a sense the mood your subject. I like that. Your tones are perfect - exactly the right amount of contrast for the scene.
Critical stuff: None really.
Overall: An unusual interpretation of the scene which communicates much. |

Positives: I like how 'loose' this image is; unstructured and visually 'floppy'! I like the white line and the curve of the curb in particular, it adds some scaffold to the image. I also like how the branches(?) to the left give the appearance of water marks.
Critical stuff: I'm not that keen on the greenish tone and if I'm honest the overall effect feels a little forced rather than having emerged from your reaction to the scene and the choices you made.
Overall: An interesting offering. |

Positives: A brave FS image - I like that. The eclectic point of view, off-square composition and flat tones makes this image brood quite darkly - again, I like that. The power outlet and the gritty detailed floor add to the authentic feel.
Critical stuff: Not an image to be enjoyed (but to be appreciated)
Overall: An image I can appreciate! |

Positives: A beautifully constructed image - amazing confluence of landscape and structure. The area over the roof is particularly interesting, looking like a piece of fabric. The grassy outcrops at the bottom of the image are my favourite bit though.
Critical stuff: Nothing really
Overall: Lovely sense of flow - great use of motion blur. |
