This is a new comment series for me, so please bear with me while I find my style!

This is one of my 9s - I like it a lot. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. I like purposeful choices in photographs - it's clear you've chosen this high contrast style and it suits the image wonderfully week - makes it really.

2. I like to see people in images (mainly) - there are plenty of characters to look at here; and in your composition, all individuals but nonetheless together in common purpose.

3. I like how you've cropped it, not minding if your crop people - it creates a sense of a wider group and mimics the way our eye is naturally selective in its gaze - we are aware of others but aren't looking at them.

Overall, this is a great image - made so by your photographic choices. We see what you have brought to the photographic table. Excellent.

This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. I should start by saying that I'm not a 'horsey' person and for the most part (because of that) my default position isn't one of enjoying an image of a horse. But... I love this! These horses, a bit like Icelandic horses, are very appealing with their shagginess - this is critical for your photograph because it adds interesting texture and it does great things to the most forward horse's silhouette against the light - natural feathering.

2. The overall composition with the aligned animals leads the eye into the picture and gives it depth.

3. The toning is beautiful - I wonder if there is the slightest haloing under the chest of the foreground horse but it is countered by a sense of mist.

4. you captured that combination of glow and sharpness that I enjoy in jagar's work (though of course with softer tones).

5. Then there is the interloping goat! This fellow makes the image, like a nerd at a party trying to hang out with the cool kids in the kitchen (I know the feeling well), he is as endearing as he is funny and he he is oh-so-important to your picture.

6. The shot has a sense of humour but, through you great processing, is nonetheless highly credible as a serious photograph too.

Overall, a fantastically well-balance shot.

This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Shouts tanguera to me. I like images that have a distinct style and this beautiful indoor light, interesting internal space, floating motif, rich colours has all the hallmarks.

2. Sensational mood - slightly eerie but with undertones of joy too - not an easy thing to pull off.

3. Amazing coloration - it has a richness that belies its fairly limited colour palette.

4. Superb light, superbly captured. This image is sooooo exposure critical and you have nailed it.

5. Composition - leading lines and a great sense of depth - way to use the z axis!

6. Depth of field - it's really important that we are able to see the full depth of your image, this would suggest a small aperture.... but you've frozen the fabric suggesting a decently quick shutter speed - no noise to speak of, so there was loads of natural light meaning those windows are really, really bright - well done on controlling the exposure across the frame or you've illuminated the fabric with a strobe - well done on getting that so well balanced and natural looking.

Overall, one of those images where everything hangs together beautifully. From photograph to art (without compromising the process, practice and craft) of photography.

Should ribbon.
