 While out grocery shopping for my Super Bowl party, I noticed this red pepper and it really intrigued my imagination. I thought of the Edward Weston challenge and thought to myself this could have some possibilities. I bought it and at home set it on a black paper in front of the basement sliding doors that still had a very small amount of quality natural light coming through. I grabbed my reflector to get some light on the other side and took a couple 15 sec exposures.

I actually feel a couple different feelings when I view this. One feels like a very sensual although undeveloped feeling still a few stages away from a true deep sensual feeling. The other feeling is of a strange and alien creature that is not yet mature enough to be on its own. I'd be interested in hearing what others have to say about what they see.

Weston-esque! Though it does need a bit more sharpness and possibly a touch more contrast in my opinion. Nice deep blacks and good light.
