star.jpgby FauxtographerComment by Louis: This is strongly reminiscent for me of the studio portraits of female stars of the forties and fifties - all attitude atop a strong but leashed feminine sexual provocativeness. The somewhat bland domestic elements -- potted plants, ordinary doorframe -- simply add to this for me. It's a great model and a great position. What makes it less successful is the centred composition (if she had been to the left or right of the photo's edge it might have been more dramatic and interesting) and the choice of landscape vs portrait. I understand you probably wanted to get those plants in there, but if it were in portrait orientation, you still cold have gotten just a hint of the left one, which would have been much more interesting, and you could have focused tightly on her, which would have been more satisfying. The softness, while not inappropriate, isn't as successful for me than if it were sharper. |

spray.jpgby FauxtographerComment by citymars: This is so sexy! If you had a lighting crew you'd be on your way to a career in advertising.
Actually, you could improve this photo merely by rotating it a couple of degrees clockwise. You might also experiment with sharpening techniques after resizing. Good luck! Message edited by author 2008-10-03 14:34:16. |

apple.jpgby FauxtographerComment by Art Roflmao: I like the lighting in this one. I'd be lying if I didn't admit the model is very sexy as well and you captured her eyes beautifully. The background / overall clutter kinda hurts the image a bit, but I got over that real fast. :) |
