Try a longer exposure to get more of the firework trail, and maybe a lower ISO to keep the colours and not blow out the reflections.

Too overexposed, dawn or dusk would have probably improved the image, but nice composition!

I love the colors. Here is an example where you don't want to crop the right side of the photo because of the color tie-ins.
