The subject of this challenge 'rocks, stones, pebbles' does not stand out in this image. A polariser may have been useful for the above situation and work on your composition. Draw the viewer into your image.

Wow. Every once in a while I am shocked to see a photo score so much lower than I scored it. The funny thing is that I'm fairly color blind and didn't even notice the yellows other commenters point out. Still looks b/w to me :)

Still, despite the DMNCs, this is a lovely photo and I hope you keep entering shots of this quality in the future.

I know that the mind can fill in the blanks sometimes when it comes to missing information (like color in a black and white picture) but it definitely looks like there are shades of yellow in that butterfly's wings.

The Challenge demanded that the photo was black and white, whereas this is still colour.

Photo is good, and would have scored much better had you made it balck and white.
