high contrast elements within the image, the black pipes and white sky and a wide range of tones throughout, what I find a little frustrating is there is nothing to give me a sense of scale, is that a person sized door on the unit or simply an inspection hatch…? It is a powerful image that could do well, good luck...

My thoughts on the image: I think that this one was underappreciated. I blew through the challenge with votes too quickly, and I should have scored this one better. The detail you captured is fantastic, and the composition is very nice. As posthumous added, the wetness of the image adds to the overall quality.

My ideas for improvement: This is a very nice macro/abstract capture, and I think it should have scored a little better. To grow the score in challenges here, more colorful images tend to do better. The browns, greens and oranges are very nice, but bold and bright tends to score higher. Great capture!
