Strong point of the photo is not the right angles, but of the cute and cuddly creatures...I also like the contrast between subjects and earth. Good texture and detail presented.

I have to say the image needs more pop in colour,either foreground or background to give it some flavor. That and some angles that "produce the strength of the image" to meet the challenge.

Not a beetle, Its actually is a bug! Makes a refreshing change from calling beetles bugs. A young sheildbug or squashbug. Pic needs some composition, everything is just stuck in the middle, try rule of thirds.

The shot in my opinion, could have been improved by two things. one- a less shallow dof and two, i think theres too much contrast- maybe a fill in flash to soften the shadows in the background. 4
