Greetings from the Critique Club...

I was not able to vote on this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given you a 6.

I took me a few seconds to get this one. At first I thought the smiley face was a little too obvious, but afterwards realized the forks were representing his/her hands. Technically speaking, the photograph is very good. The crop is great, lots of negatvie space, the focus is good, and the variation in tone in the background adds quite a bit. The only thing stopping me from voting this higher would be the unrelatedness of the forks and the smiley face. Congrats on your good finish.

If you need any clarification on any of my comments, please feel free to pm me. It might take some time for me to get back to you.

I really liked this shot and I usually don't go for studio pics. I liked the "sun" lighting coming up from below and the forks really added the human aspet. I gave it a 9.

This is image is so clean and sharp everywhere, that the jagged bottom edge (between the forks) and the upper left edge of the happy face are distracting. Also, you should have wiped his lower lip before shooting :-)
