Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Proportion (Basic Editing I)
Collection: Good - Average
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Beardsley Zoo, Bridgeport, CT
Date: Apr 25, 2004
Aperture: f/10
ISO: 1/125
Shutter: 100
Date Uploaded: Apr 27, 2004

I dressed my younger son in overalls and a red plaid shirt for the shot, but he just wouldn't cooperate. This was a desperate plan B. Cropped to eliminate a large, distracting hook on the side of the cow. Very little editing- USM, slight HSL and Curves adjustments.

Great shot! Wish I had a 20-foot-tall cow in my yard. Okay, maybe not. ;-)

The red of the model's costume pops!. Great that it is in the shadowed area. Overall - this is an image I really want to love...but the competition with the trees at the top and the planter at the bottom right reduces the impact. Go back and do it again! The "cow's" head is a bit over-exposed.

Large proportions, the little girl turning to the cow is a good effect on the pic, recieving a higher score for that.

A classic! Very funny, yet shows the inquisitive nature of children perfectly.
