 I took this shot from behind a window while standing in my living room! One of my first shots with the Canon 28-105mm lens. I had just barely enough resolution to crop the photo with a reasonable amount of detail. The surrounding trees were very distracting, so I masked off the subject and Gaussian blurred like crazy. In a Basic Challenge, I'd be out of luck.

great capture of the woodpecker...I especaially like the light on it's head. I think that a tighter crop would enhance the photo...from the top and the right side. The colors are very refreshing.,7
