I've moved from my Pod in Kuwait to a B-Hut in Afghanistan. I have no idea what the "B" stands for. The hut I am in (the one at the end) is divided in half by a full wall, then each half divided again by a partial wall. In our hut, we have girls on one side, boys on the other. The entire thing (floors, walls, ceiling) is made of plywood. You can hear anyone in the hut when they talk at a normal voice. You can hear them tying their shoes, actually.

There's a rhythmical repetition of so many elements...the huts, the trash cans, the fire extinguishers, the shadows. Probably not what I'd wish to live with day in and day out, but it sure does provide for some great photographic opportunities. Thanks for letting us follow you around, Deb. Your slices of life may be mostly beige these days, but they're certainly not boring.

Omg..this is what they are doing to our brave military folks? I'll refrain, because at least they are clean and new, but to have co-ed living? Sheesh, I'm old-fashioned! I'm proud of you Deb!

Thanks for sharing your most interesting life with us!

How intimate. Not exactly like camping, eh? My guess would be that "B-Hut" is a step down from "A-Hut". Maybe you should find out where these A-Huts are...

Wow, not exactly five star fare, eh? Just plywood -- doesn't it get really cold there in the winter?

Cool leading line, deb. It'd be cool in a moody duotone as well!!!
