I really like this image; it's a testament to the primary importance of technicals to DPC voters that it didn't do better. It does say pure to me, in a way that reflects, well, just pure. Not pure this or that, but just pure (like your saying, "Pure as the driven snow" isn't really about snow). I might have (emphasize might) have dropped the center of the flower a bit lower and to the left, but it's very strong as is. For me, the soft focus emphasizes the point of the image. Is purity always in supposed to be in focus?

Barely sharp enough to figure out what it is. You might have to back off a bit and crop the unwanted part out to get a sharper picture.
