The negative treatment does a nice job of bringing out the open mouth and eyes. It also makes the fur look different which is good too. I like the punny title too. It just isn't what's in vogue at DPC at the moment, by the comments and votes. That's ok. I still like it.
I think that it may be because it reminds me of many hours at the enlarger looking at negative images on the easel and thinking about what to dodge and what to burn.

Hmmmmm, yes. A negative of overexposed image. Seemed to amplify "howl" aspect, being dark. Pure in the sense that Gus's whole body was focused on the howl (actually a 'woof'), seeming more together as a dog than usually, for he is a gangly always cogitating sort of dog. Thank you all for commenting and voting.

Is this a negative? It just doesn't work for me and doesn't demonstrate pure.

Is this IR, I like the shadows and lighting of the shot, but am unsure the idea behind it.

the processing isn't very appealing to me ... would like to see the original

You've kind of lost me with the post processing. Not sure I get the connection with the challenge theme.

Hmmmmm, a negative image. Was this done for artistic reasons or to cover up an overexposed original? I am not sure how it relates to the theme "pure".
