How absurd! I ran out of time - got my entry in at 11:58 or 11:59. 1st vote a 6,
5.000 after 3 (6, 4, 5?). Some absolutely great entries in this challenge!

My image is coming down to something more normal but still way higher than it should be (there was a total of 10 mins editing but it was at expert level). I was never going to enter it but glad I did.

I'm "meh-ing" in score right along with you, just ducked barely below 5.5
Edit: I take that back, in the time it took me to post that I went from "Meh" 5.5 to "eh.." at 5.4

I'm not up to the math, but I know you are. Could it be someone who went through initially and gave out a 10 and then went back and changed to a 1 (that's as extreme as you can get for one voter). Otherwise there might be voters who voted high originally and are now revising down but not showing as new voters plus one new low voter? I just went back and bumped about 10 images, some quite dramatically (from a 6 to a 9 or 10, for example), because I voted conservatively on the first pass. I rarely revise downward, though, and have not done so in this challenge. |

i find it kinda odd that you got 11 new views with only one vote, thats way out of normal proportion

Similar to Nam, I make a first pass and revise. I tend to vote many 4's, 5's and 6's on the first pass and then revise, spreading the range. Often 7's become 9's and 4's become 2's.
I would suspect one low voter and one large change down. Looks odd though. |

He lost 23 points in a single "vote". if that vote was a "1" then he lost 22 points from previous voters.
Either it was a typo on his part... or people greatly revised.
Personally, I rarely revise votes unless I made a mistake. The goal is not to rank images, but to vote on the image on its own merits. So a 7 doesn't get a bump just because it was the best of the challenge. A 7 in this challenge SHOULD BE a 7 in any challenge, provided it was on topic. |
