Been taking snapshots for years but only been taking real photos since joining dpc .
I try to capture emotion first, then worry about the technical stuff. Competing is fun, but I don't feel that winning should be the ultimate goal. Learning is, and ever since I met Ryan  Magnumphotography who has been into photography for most of his life, he has been unselfish in sharing his knowledge and passion for photography with me :-)
Proud member of Team Suck, and often encourage noobs to join...and sometimes they do...muwahahahahaaaa...and I am still a member of Average Under Five, which I work hard to maintain!
*April 3 2007 - Fotolia has just sold my first stock picture - a fried egg candy dish on a black background.
June 14 2007 - Deliriously happy as my Chassis shot from Painting With Light not only broke the magical 6 barrier, it also finished in top 20% and is my new PB!
October 29 2008 - Wow, took a long time but my Red Squirrel from Wildlife IV has knocked Chassis from the top spot with a score just shy of 6.5! Also finished in the top 20% and is my brand-spanking new PB!
Fellow dpcers I have met: RayEthier, who introduced me to the site;  Shudderbug, shaman, ralph,  BeeCee, Becky-Lee, Morgan, Leenie,  smjbmw, tosk, Quigley, and of course Magnumphotography
