One was far better to me but probably won't be as well loved by the masses. Didn't enter, but enjoyed voting, although my highest score was an 8. :(

This was one of my favorite entries, mostly because of how technically difficult it was. Apparently people don't care as much about technical difficulty, as I'm on track for a personal worst. That's OK I still like it.

I am now. Had another little mini-surge. (and announcing it here will cause another slide)

In the end though, I'd be surprised to see more than maybe 10 of these entries cracking six.

started out mid 5's but just recently trending down from a 6.3333 high point.

Gave out a 10. For some reason the shots seem to be very good or not so great to me. I did not realize how technically challenging this type of shot would be.

interesting... this was Advanced Editing, so it should have been easier to pp the image to get the desired effect (assuming a decent starting image, of course).

i am above 6 at the moment, and based on the previous comments i feel lucky.

I am a light painting Fanatic, and No I didn't get one in DUHHHH BUT... The images I've seen so far are WONDERFUL I don't think I've ever scored :

very shaky along the 6 line... sorta confuzzled..

and about voting, i feel a lot of these pictures weren't exactly "painted" with light... just sorta lighted. anyone else feel the same?

Depends how you interpret it. Strictly speaking, we were meant to "Use a non-stationary light source as the primary method of illuminating", so I guess those are the ones you call "just sorta lighted".

I assume that in YOUR eyes, it is only light painting when the movable light source is actually the subject of the photo.

Please do a bit more thinking and reading about it, challenges like this one are such a great learning opportunity.

nB there were a few that I though the same, but then I went back and really looked hard, I think there were some with a natural lighting and had a bit of painting to enhance, I gave the score looking at them as if they were light painted. One imange although at first I thought was pure natural light after I really looked and thought I do belive was painted. And I loved it!

What a bunch of GREAT photographs.. Although if I hadn't duhhed up, I'm sure my painted 100 year old rock building would've been first.... (baaaaahaawwwaaa) :^)
Can not wait to see who's is who...
