A quick look here shows all challenges, sorted by total number of entries.

I think its kinda strange that there are so few entries however, looking at some of the shot there are a quite a few that are more twillight shots than dead of night shots. What this means (to me) is that we are at that time of year in the northern hemisphere when the night is shorter than the amount of daylight we have. I'd like to see this challenge rerun in the middle of December when you can go out a reasonable hour to get a good dark sky. At this time of year you have to shoot after midnight to get a good dark sky (in my opinion)

Interesting point, but then the borealis' shooters from Iceland would get the three ribbons :-)

I suppose that says most voters do compare shots in the challenge and bump up or down according to the competition. Either that or there are less competitors trolling your image. :P
