So a new year has begun, and it's time for a reassessment of my photography goals.
I've been on this site for just over three months now.
On the positive side, the technical aspects of the photos here are so good that I have been forced to up my postprocessing game. I'm using Photoshop a lot more now.
On the negative side, the technical aspects of the photos here are so good that I'm forgetting how to "see" an interesting photo, something that makes a statement without being highly postprocessed.
My main goal this year is to recover my photographic style. I can already see my vote average taking a plunge. I also want to make more comments as this helps me to see what I really like or dislike about a shot. I also want to acquire the 10-22mm Canon lens as I rarely shoot wide and I want to develop this aspect of my photography. |
