    Biography: Born in the UK where I lived until last year when my wife and I moved to live in Istanbul. I have been taking pictures for about 5 years, but only within the last few months have I started to devote more time to it. I orignally designed web pages and as a result of this bought my first digital camera in May of this year (2004). Fuji Finepix S5000
    Since then I have really tried to devote more effort to my photographs.

    I would like to develop my own studio eventually to further develop my interest.

    For me photographs need to portray an emotion or a story. That's not to say a holiday snap isn't a valid photograph but just not what I would want to hang on my wall. When I shoot a picture I try to make the composition tell a story and if possible contrast/complement the subject.

    My specific area of interest is portraits and travel photography, and then mainly people. I find people fascinating and want to record their quirkyness and beauty.
