    Biography: My father introduced me to photography when I was 8 years old. He handed me a Canon AE-1 35mm film camera. He always told me I want you to do something that you love, I don't want you working for the man your entire life. In my youth, I would take awful photos of birds and squirrels as we camped and hiked. We frequently vacationed at Cuyamaca, a California State Park. Thankfully, you won't find any of those images here.

    Photography developed from a hobby to a passion during my high school years. And instead of jumping into the world of photography with my eyes closed, I chose a profession that helped me gain experience. I joined the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Photographer.

    From April to November 2010, I was assigned to document combat operations of 1st Marine Division in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. This experience taught me how to capture story-telling images that were used to brief commanders and help affect the decision-making during of the war. My photos are now documented pieces of American history.

    I'm currently the personal photographer of the 17th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, but during my free time (away from the Pentagon) I also shoot weddings and portraits.
