Biography: I was born in sunny California but have lived in many places; New Jersey, Germany, Canada and Mississippi. Currently I am residing in Southern California.

I know the importance that photographs play in our lives. One simple photograph can say more than a hundred words could ever begin to describe. One photograph can bring you to tears filled with either joy or sorrow. They are not just objects of art but also tell a story. Photographs are ageless, even if they fade or become tattered and torn, they are still cherished from generation to generation keeping memories alive.

I've always been fascinated with photography as far back as I can remember. My father was a photography enthusiast and we traveled many places all over the globe with him as he captured life's moments as they happened. When I was old enough my father handed down his 35mm camera to me. I don't recall the brand but I do recall it had screw mounted lenses, nothing automatic and it weighed a ton . . . I was hooked!

I learned out the hard way to never leave home without your camera. January 17, 1994, I was on the freeway early morning heading to Van Nuys and was about 10 minutes from Northridge when the earthquake struck. I saw and witnessed things that no one else did; blue sparks in the sky as transformers snapped, overturned vehicles, buckled roads, spot fires, water main breaks, and citizens taking action. That moment changed me and I now never leave the house, even if I am only going to the market, without my camera. As you can see in one of my crude albums titled "Firestorm", these are not award winning pictures but do show the dangers faced by every day people traveling and getting cornered by a wild fire.

Photography to me is like a photo essay of places I have been, things I have seen all delivered with my special twist, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
