Biography: Hello, my name is Misha and I just discovered this website and became enamored.
About me? Well, I'm a newbie when it comes to photography. I've enjoyed taking pictures ever since I learned how to work a camera, and when I was in my teens I started taking 'artsy' shots. Just recently, however, I've become interested in editing and actually caring about the process. It's much more enjoyable, even if I don't really know what I'm doing.. It's the fun that counts! Right?
When I was 19, I bought my first ever digital camera, the Fuji one I'm currently using. Whereas before I was happy using just a disposable camera (*gasp!* the horror!), now I'm wanting to learn more and, well, not quite "go pro" but gain all the experience and knowledge that I can, and use it to become a better photographer.
I've thought about taking classes, but I'm not sure what I could learn in them. I worry that the class will go in a different direction than I wanted, and it would be time and money wasted. Or that I will already know what's being taught, or in the other extreme, it won't make any sense to me.
Recently, I discovered the editing wonders of Windows Live Photo Gallery. Someone has suggested I try PhotoShop, but I want to see what all I can learn from WLPG first, and then move on to the more sophisticated software. Unless there's something better out there for editing photos, then please let me know!
Well, this is all I can of at the moment. I'm open to meeting and talking to new people, so if I sound interesting to you, go ahead and contact me! =)
