    Biography: My name is James King, I just got into photography and have never enjoyed anything as much.
    I currently only have the digital SLR, The Nikon D40 was a (late) birthday gift in 2009, I have also found several old film cameras and bought them up, A Yashica Electro35g, Polaroid Land camera colorpackII, a Kodak Retina Reflex (with 3 lenses) and a Canon A1.
    They've all required surgery but a little research and a lot of patience paid off for them all (though I can't find a battery cover for the A1)
    Using the film cameras has helped me advance a lot quicker than I believe I would with only a digital camera because you only have a few chances with film. I really hope to make a career out of photography and I'm saving up for a more professional camera sometime this year. Any help on what equipment can help me pursue this career path will be much appreciated.

    I put everything on Flickr, it helps me stay focused, I've found that making stop motion movies lets me practice lighting and composition and post it without having to upload 300 pictures a day.
