Don't know if it's just me and the way I am processing these days (using mainly Aperture and Nik plugins), but the images I submit to DPC seem to be quite soft even though they are really very sharp on my screen.

The light and textures of this are gorgeous. Really nicely done in my opinion.

I like the photo quite a lot. I like the feel of the processing too. The only problem I'm having with it is the edges and the slight vignetting, it kind of keeps reminding me of the editing that was involved. I guess that you've kept the top part darker so as not to distract too much, but I think it cropping it a bit wouldn't harm either. Actually I think it would even emphasize the number of fish scattered around as we wouldn't be able to see the edgeof the net and more would be left to the imagination.

i have the same issue but its going from a 70mb tiff file at 12-21mp to a 150k 800x500 thats where all the detail is lost i find, i use photoshop to resize and convert i wonder if there is a better way of doing it as most my b/w are only 150k in 800 sizing.

Glad to read your comment Paul, for that was also my reaction to this scene when I saw it with my own eyes.

The Little Fishes look sharp to me. Luminosity of the fish is really good.
