 I know these types of shots have been done many times on this site and others but I always wanted to have a go at taking one. Here's hoping the voters haven't had their fill of paper edges lol

Manually focused using an old M42 fitment Vivitar 55mm Macro Prime lens (and Canon EF to M42 adapter). Light provided by bouncing a flashgun off the ceiling which helped with the darker shadows in each curl, I kinda liked that. A tungsten white balance used to get the picture more blue looking.

Editing: Cropped very very slightly from the original, brightness and contrast adjusted using levels, slightly denoised, color balance adjusted to make it more bluey purple. resized and sharpened.
