|Seriously, in previous shots I did see a funny slightly greyish thing hanging down from the tuft of feather below where the beak is located. Didn't take long to realize it was the last of a mouse going into a snowy owl tummy!
I made a point of including the phone pole so nobody could say it was a tame pet owl. It isn't. It's a female or a juvenile, not sure. Only the males go all white, which I didn't know before.
Camera on tripod, TC used, also mirror lockup and remote shutter.
RAW file, crop, brightness/contrast, dodge mouth, clone out small bits of dirt, denoise, resize, sharpen, save for web
