I actually quite often suffer from this problem. This was a result of one such nights.

Insomnia is a horrible problem. I feel so tired after a night when I just can't sleep. I tend to spend hours doing something but then I am even more tired with no relief in sight.

...
Thanks Deb and Mario for positive comments. I make no apologies for turning early morning image into the middle of the night image. In fact I am very proud that my PP skills have advanced this far. This is what I do when I can't sleep - try various PPs on images with potential and see if I like any of them in the morning. I absolutely love this kind image with light reflecting in the rising fog. Too me this is the closest to capturing the light itself - my photography dream come true.

A most excellent shoehorn! You obviously convinced the voters it was a night shot! Sweeping and grandiose.

Congrats on a strong finish! The picture fit in well with the theme IMO. :)

I had insomnia a few weeks back, first time in my life. Such a horrible experience, the more I thought about it, the less I could find sleep. At one point I thought I was going to die if I didn't fall asleep.

It doesn't make sense IMHO. This challenge was a nightscape one and this is clearly not a landscape taken at night.

Not enough, I gave you a 5 ;)

It is a beautiful image as you said yourself. I am very proud of it. Your score of 6 seemed very miserly. I was expecting much more. If I really like an image I give it at least a 7! But then, why should I care - I am passed it. Whatever it takes to photograph the LIGHT ITSELF is fine with me. And it is reflected in the way I score the images of other photographers. I don't care how they did it as long as their image captured the light for me..

Well, congrats on your HM. It's a good image. But, in the context of your other image captured about the same time, it's not a landscape at night. This is a DNMC and I'm embarrassed I gave it a "6". As a photographer, you should NOT try to fool the viewer. Good job! But, in the light of your same time other daylight image, I should have given this a "1". You should be embarrassed, not me.

+1

All your images have camera settings listed below except this one, and there must a reason for that ;)
