 This is my little Syrian hamster Jamukha, kindly modelling for me despite his old age. I sprinkled a bunch of carefresh bedding on the train of my black backdrop and placed his cosy pocket bed amongst it, then got my fella John to hold our little hammie until the last minute when he popped him into the pocket on my instruction. I used my Tamron lens in macro mode, it gave me a good DOF that was fairly narrow. I snapped a few shots of the mookster and decided I liked this one best; not that I had long to shoot, since he quickly decided to stuff his face with a sizeable amount of the bedding! I love sweet little Mook Mook. ^_^

Editing: Cropped, adjusted brightness/contrast using levels, cloned out a few specks of dust, raised the red saturation a bit and lowered the blue, denoised, sharpened, resized and added the borders.
