It's not that easy to get a brown ribbon.
I took a very plain photo of trees decorated with lights and played with it until I was blue in the face. The first image looked awfully ditsy and nondescript.
So I pushed everything to a maximum of processing until I almost did not recognized the original, something that I almost never do but had to experience at some point. And that's the image I posted. It would make a quaint pillow case should someone be foolish enough to weave it to embroider it.
Thanks for looking and being horrified.
Same here.

One word of clarification. The image above IS NOT the original but another "processed to death" of the same original as the "pillow case". The outtake using same original:

Beautiful and you beat all the brownmasters.

I KNEW that some people would like it! May the bold be rewarded, whether they be "right" or not. By the way, I have an old powershot I-don't-know-what-model that generates images much like your original no matter what I do. Not sure what's wrong with it, but it does some delightfully interesting things sometimes. Like a really screwed-up roll of expired film . . . remember those days?

Truth be told, I thought this WAS textile, not necessarily a pillowcase, something a bit heavier like a table cloth. I didn't imagine it to be embroidered, but simply printed. Sorry for the misinterpretation, Mariuca. I gave you a 4. I do prefer your original.

Though this does not necessarily apppeal to me, I can certainly believe that there is an appreciative audience for this image. Since I cannot decide to either vote per my own predilictions or for what I can see artistic value in despite my tastes, I'm afraid I must doom this to the median.

I do like the painting look. I can see it in an art gallery.
