Placed a creepy scarecrow halloween mask upside down (The spoon inverts the image) and about 6" from a titanium camping spork locked in a model vise. Had a black backdrop behind the mask and a red one behind the spoon. I had to have the camera back pretty far to keep it out of the spoon, zoomed in 200mm but it was still visible, so I camouflaged it with some black fabric. Played with the f/stop to get the spoon and the mask sharp but the (wrinkly)backdrops blurry.

fantastic depth- that thing is popping out, also, excellent placement of the spoon in the frame, the red color, and the lighting with that perfect little touch of glare.
